That’s right, we are collecting books! Not just any books, the EMUBA is conducting a book drive to expand the Ypsilanti Community Middle School Multicultural Book Library. Help us to expand the literary minds of our youth by donating gently used and/or brand new multicultural children’s books. We are accepting and receiving multicultural books for ages 10-14, August 31- October 11. Drop off locations include the Center for Multicultural Affairs (3rd floor of the Student Center) and other locations to be announced! Event: Young and Successful, co-sponsored with EMU Black Student Union

Location: Student Center or First Year Center

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Young and Successful has been hosted at EMU for over 15 years and is focused on discussing strategies for success during college and a successful transition after graduation. Come join a panel of 5 dynamic young alumni making a path for themselves in the career of their choice!

Event: EMUBA Faculty/Staff Reception, co-sponsored with the EMU Center for Multicultural Affairs

Location: Student Center, Room 300

Time: 5:30-7:30pm

We are excited to host a faculty, staff and alumni reception as a part of this year's homecoming festivities! This program is a new addition to EMUBA's yearly homecoming events. This will also serve as an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with faculty and staff, and to get reengaged with what's happening on campus!

Event: Homecoming Jam, co-sponsored with the Delta Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Location: McKinney Hall Ballroom

Annual ALUMNI homecoming party. At this year's Homecoming Jam, we are bringing it BACK to McKinney in a celebration with the Delta Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. as they celebrate 60 years on EMU's campus.

Annual Alumni Membership Meeting

Location: Student Center Meeting Room 104

Time: 10am-11am

Agenda includes: Approval of Amended By-Laws, Introduction of New Executive Officers and forming of Holiday Party Committee

Black Homecoming Tailgate

Location: Rynearson Stadium Parking Lot

Time: 9:00am - until Come on out for our annual tailgate!
